"Once properly packaged, we practiced moving the system through complex terrain, like steep trees, over cliffs, and through simulated crevasse terrain. The Med Sled VLR system proved invaluable in being able to efficiently move a patient while also keeping the rescuers workload and safety within a manageable margin."

"During NYU Langone's recent evacuation the Med Sled® was used to evacuate our most critical non-ambulatory patients. Like any hospital in the midst of an evacuation, our main concern was patient and staff safety. Our Med Sleds® were pivotal to our successful overall evacuation strategy during Hurricane Sandy. It is critical to prepare your facility for the worst case scenario. There are many lessons we have learned from catastrophes like Hurricane Katrina, the Joplin tornado and now Super Storm Sandy. Our job as emergency preparedness professionals is to apply these lessons to our plans."

Thanks for the great customer service. We really do love training w/ the Med Sleds. Monthly training events are provided to our staff with certain departments being mandated to participate each year. We continue to hope we never to have use them in an evacuation event." However, Med Sled® Evacuation Sleds are not just for evacuation … " We had a bariatric patient slide to the floor from their hospital bed. The staff was having difficulty getting the patient back into bed until it was decided to use the Bariatric Med Sled to safely returned the patient to bed w/no injury to patient nor to our staff.

After using the Med Sled® the first time, we found it beneficial in any patient care setting that requires versatility and patient protection in a rapid manner. After looking at several products there is no device that is better suited for hospital setting.

Thanks for having a wonderful product. I have been training our staff now for about 8 months. The response has been overwhelming with the ease of the product. We have used the same sled over 100 times and it is still going strong.

Thank you for taking the time to fit into your busy schedule yesterday the early morning training for our NICU and Central Patient Transport staff. Your ongoing flexibility with our scheduling needs has been greatly appreciated. As you know we have equipped all of our In-patient units with the Med Sleds® and we look to do the same with our new West Shore facility. We have been very happy with the quality, durability, and the ease of use of the Med Sled® products.

In the late afternoon of May 22, 2011 an EF5 tornado hit Joplin, MO. It was a catastrophic event that no one could have expected. The lessons learned during the evacuation of Mercy Hospital are endless but the ability to evacuate the hospital in a timely manner taught us that having the proper equipment deployed in the patient care areas throughout a hospital was essential. The deployed Med Sleds® were used in evacuating patients through debris filled hallways, down flights of stairs and out the building to safety. The Med Sled® worked exactly as designed, allowing healthcare providers to evacuate non ambulatory patients when time was critical.
